Hi,I'm glad you like it. Actually I am in a phase when I'm working more on the background than on the figure itself... lol...

  5. Dear Melinda,
Very impressive work. I feel painful sadness and a girl/woman's cry. Above all, I have to confess the background caught my attention...huge, bigger than the girl and pressure on the girl holding knees, not showing her face, but looks like crying or weeping... Melinda, I admire your technique and story telling.
    Kind regards, Sadami

  9. maalauksesi koskettavat syvältä.. en löydä sanoja.. olet uskomaton.. ihailen hyvin paljon.

tuo maalaus maailman pyörä puhuu kivusta tuskasta surusta alastomasti koruttomasti tämän maailmamme sisällä, kuin lapsi kohdussa.

hyvin aitoa tulen aina uudelleen.. kiitos

  10. I believe that it was Leonardo da Vinci who said – “Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.” Melinda, your painting is poetry that is both seen and felt. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us all.

May I ask who is playing the piano?

    ...

    Dee Newman:
Oh, yes, I also think he said it...
I think the spectator is very important in perceiving the message... Thank you very much!

(i don't know who plays the piano, I just know the piece is by Frédéric CHOPIN: "Nocturne in C-sharp Minor (Op. Posth.)"
